The Aesthetic Show offers a world-class faculty comprised of thought leaders and leading practitioners in the aesthetic community. These seasoned professionals have both the strong theoretical understanding and practical experience to assist our attendees in the development of new ideas and services for their patients.

Various medical professionals in the fields of cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, otolaryngology, oculoplastic surgery, general surgery and practice management provide education in a wide variety of didactic, live patient and interactive formats.

THE Aesthetic Show also provides real world examples and case studies to help attendees in all stages of an aesthetic practice. A collection of business leaders both in and outside of the aesthetic community will present and discuss various best practices as well as financial and general practice management topics to help aesthetic medical practices and their staff reach the next level of success.

		Glynis Ablon, M.D. Dr. Ablon, a native Californian, is a board certified dermatologist, who completed her training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She has focused her attention on cosmetic surgery since the beginning of her training. Since receiving the Award in Dermatology from her medical school, GWU, Dr. Ablon continues to publish research and has presented some of her work in Paris, France. Dr. Ablon, an assistant clinical professor at UCLA, serves as on-air medical consultant for ABC, CBS, Lifetime and E! Entertainment. A fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Academy of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and American Academy of Liposuction Surgery to name a few, Dr. Ablon is current on all of the newest trends in cosmetic surgery.
		Samuel S. Asculai, Ph.D Dr. Asculai has been in the Life Science industry for more years than 40 years. He received his Masters and Doctorate degrees from Rutgers University and since been involved in developing several pharmaceutical products. Dr. Asculai is the inventor or co-inventor of 55 issued U.S. patents and the cumulative revenues of the products that he has developed or invented approach $2 billion dollars. In 2004 he founded Enhance Skin Products Inc. and reacquired the Trademark and rights to the Visible Youth cosmeceutical line that he developed at Hyal Pharmaceutical Corporation..
		Martin Braun, M.D. Dr. Braun is one of the most accomplished and respected cosmetic rejuvenation physicians practicing in the Vancouver area. As a pioneer in laser medicine, he has the distinction of being the first doctor in Canada to perform laser hair removal almost 10 years ago and he currently injects more Botox® than any other practitioner in Canada. Dr. Braun received his M.D. from the University of British Columbia, completed his core surgical training at Vancouver General Hospital, and subsequently became certified to practice both Family and Emergency Medicine. He has devoted his practice exclusively to cosmetic rejuvenation procedures at his private medical clinic.
		Jacqueline M. Calkin, M.D. Dr. Calkin is a graduate of the University of California-San Francisco School of Medicine with nearly ten years' experience in general and cosmetic dermatology. She completed her internship at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland followed by three years in the UCSF dermatology residency program and was selected as Chief Resident in her second year. Dr. Calkin is a member of the nationally recognized Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a frequent lecturer on dermatologic treatment techniques, has coauthored significant studies on laser hair removal and laser resurfacing and is the host of a monthly skin care segment on KXTV Channel 10.
		Koenraad De Boulle, M.D. Dr. De Boulle is the director of a private dermatology clinic, Aalst Dermatology Group in Aalst, Belgium, a subspecialty association of six dermatologists with affiliations with Belgian academic centers. He is the author or co-author of 35 peer-reviewed scientific publications and holds advisory positions for different major therapeutic and cosmeceutical companies, as well as director faculty positions for major congresses.
		Jason B. Diamond, M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Diamond is a Board Certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He is also a Board Certified Head & Neck Surgeon, Otolaryngologist and fellow of American College of Surgeons, and received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Dr. Diamond has been recognized by multiple sources including Harpers Bazaar, E! Entertainment and NBC as being one of the top facial plastic surgeons in his field.
		J. Kevin Duplechain, M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Duplechain is a facial plastic surgeon who practices in Lafayette, Louisiana and his practice is focused on total facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, and laser medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, and the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery and is a member of numerous medical societies including the ASLMS. Dr. Duplechain is the co-founder and managing partner of Laser Skin Care of Louisiana, is a clinical instructor at the Tulane University Department of Otolaryngology in New Orleans, and holds the same appointment at Louisiana State University. He has published many peer-reviewed articles and authored several chapters in textbooks. He has been chosen as one of the Best Doctors in America by his peers for 12 consecutive years and has been voted one of the Top Doctors in Louisiana as well. Dr. Duplechain has spoken at scientific meetings both nationally and internationally, and conducts training seminars on lasers that he currently uses in his practice. 		Dore Gilbert, M.D. In practice since 1979, Dr. Gilbert is a specialist, a consultant, a teacher and a sought after speaker of laser, light and radiofrequency solutions for aging skin, rosacea and acne. Dr. Gilbert is the hands-on Medical Director of the Newport Dermatology & Laser Associates in Newport Beach, California.
		Robert H. Gotkin, M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Gotkin, with offices in Manhattan and Greenvale, Long Island, is a premier cosmetic surgeon renowned for his expertise in liposculpture, body contouring and aesthetic facial surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the International Society of Clinical Plastic Surgeons and is also a Fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and serves on the Medical Council of The Skin Cancer Foundation. For the past 10 years, Dr. Gotkin has been named a “Top Doctor” in Castle Connolly’s Guide to the Best Doctors in New York. 		J. David Holcomb, M.D. Dr. Holcomb practices Facial Plastic and Cosmetic Laser Surgery in Sarasota, Florida and is double board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. After receiving his MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch he completed subspecialty training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as well as fellowships in research training (National Institutes of Health) and advanced facial plastic surgery (American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery). He recently served as President of the Florida Society of Facial Plastic Surgeons and is currently President-elect of the Sarasota County Medical Society. Dr. Holcomb’s special interests include rhinoplasty, laser skin rejuvenation, nitrogen plasma skin regeneration and optimizing facial rejuvenation outcomes through blending of traditional surgical techniques and more recent advances in laser surgery.
		Michael Kane, M.D. Dr. Kane earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University in conjunction with the Jefferson Medical College Five-Year Program in Cooperative Medical Education. He completed an internship in general surgery residency at New York Medical College and a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. After finishing his fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery at New York University, based at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, he currently maintains a private practice in New York City. Dr Kane has authored or coauthored numerous publications, including publications in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has presented at many national venues.
		Will Kirby, D.O., F.A.O.C.D. Dr. Kirby is a board certified dermatologist who has a degree in Biology from Emory University. He received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University – College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his first year of postgraduate training at Mount Sinai Medical Center. His Dermatology residency training took place in association with Western University/Pacific Hospital where he served as Chief Resident in the Department of Dermatology. Dr. Kirby is one of the featured physicians on E! Entertainment Television’s, Dr. 90210, where he showcases his dermatology practice with an emphasis on facial cosmetic enhancement, complexion enrichment, and laser techniques. Having supervised more than 15,000 laser procedures he is considered by many to be a leading authority in the art of laser tattoo removal. Dr. Kirby practices in Encino, Irvine, and Beverly Hills, Calif.
		Jay M. Kulkin, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.O.G. Dr. Jay Kulkin, Founder of Women's Institute for Health in Atlanta, is an internationally recognized laser expert invited to teach continuing medical education seminars in the US and other countries. He has also created the curriculum for many of these meetings used to teach doctors about laser techniques. Dr. Kulkin is a Board Certified Gynecologist and is often quoted in the media and featured on a number of TV networks including CNN and CBS Atlanta on women's health issues. He is a Fellow (the highest distinction achievable) of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and is the former Executive Director of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia Women's Health Program, which he was instrumental in creating.
		Wendy Lewis Wendy Lewis is president of Wendy Lewis & Co Ltd., a consulting firm specializing in aesthetic medicine, cosmeceuticals, injectables and devices. Her expertise includes assisting new and established brands with relationships in the medical arena, patient education, and market penetration. She is a columnist as well as an author of ten books, including Plastic Makes Perfect (Orion 2007).
		Linda Li, M.D. Dr. Li is the only female plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills that has her own surgery center. She attended Boston University where she obtained her undergraduate and medical degrees through an elite six-year program and completed her surgical residency at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center. Dr. Li is one of the stars of E!'s hit show, Dr. 90210, and has been featured in Cosmopolitan, W Magazine, Life & Style Weekly, The New York Times, Plastic Surgery Products Magazine, Los Angeles Business Journal, and many other publications.
		David Matlock, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.O.G. Dr. Matlock is a board certified gynecologic surgeon and a full fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is the pioneer of the trademarked procedures, Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation® (LVR®), Designer Laser Vaginoplasty® (DLV®) and the G-Shot® or G-Spot Amplification. Dr. Matlock is the founder and medical director of the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute® of America, and is also featured on Dr. 90210 on the E! network.
		Tess Mauricio, M.D. Dr. Mauricio is a Board Certified Dermatologist specializing in laser treatments, liposculpture and noninvasive rejuvenation. She is a graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of University of California San Diego. Dr. Mauricio is the founder of the Scripps Ranch Dermatology and Cosmetic Center in San Diego, California. Dr. Mauricio is a regular TV personality with appearances on Fox News, XETV News, The Wellness Hour and the Rachael Ray Show.
		John A. Millard, M.D. Dr. Millard is a cosmetic plastic surgeon in the Denver, Colorado area. He is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery and is a member in good standing of numerous prestigious professional associations.
		R. Stephen Mulholland, M.D. Dr. Mulholland is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School as the Horner Silver Medalist, and went on to complete his specialty training at the University of Toronto in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Mulholland has dual certification in Plastic Surgery and Head and Neck Surgical Oncology, and currently focuses his practice solely on cosmetic plastic surgery. He frequently directs courses for physicians and surgeons around the world on cosmetic surgery and laser skin care topics and has authored over twenty articles and book chapters on cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery topics.
		Jason Myers, D.O. Dr. Myers is certified by the Board of Osteopathic Medicine with a specialty in Family Practice. While his medical degree was attained from the Michigan State University Osteopathic School of Medicine, he also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Aquinas College. Dr. Myers completed his Family Medicine training at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Myers is a nationally recognized expert and speaker on aesthetic and laser medicine and is a member of American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the International Society of Laser Surgery and Medicine.
		Francis R. Palmer III, M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Palmer has been Director of Facial Plastic Surgery for the Head and Neck Surgery Department at the University of Southern California School of Medicine since 1991.He is a graduate of San Diego State University and received his MD from the University of California – Irvine. Following his residency at USC-LA County Medical Center, Dr. Palmer completed a fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is board certified in that specialty. He has completed a fellowship with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and is also board eligible in that specialty. 		Jason Pozner, M.D. Dr. Pozner is Board Certified in both Plastic Surgery and General Surgery by the American Boards of Plastic Surgery and Surgery. He is Medical Director Sanctuary Medical Aesthetic Center and Sanctuary Plastic Surgery in Boca Raton, Florida and a former Assistant Professor of Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
		Dianne Quibell, M.D. Dr. Quibell is a board certified practicing Internist and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She is the Medical Director of MD TLC, Inc. in Wellesley Hills, MA, Medical Editor of Cosmedical Concepts, a fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, a Member of the International Society for Cosmetic and Laser Surgery, and a Member of the American Society for Photodynamic Therapy.
		Alexander Rivkin, M.D. Dr. Rivkin is a Yale trained facial cosmetic surgeon and UCLA faculty member who has decided to focus his practice exclusively on providing his patients with the latest in non-invasive, non-ablative cosmetic treatments. He was the first physician in the country to offer the Non-Surgical Nose Job, his signature method for non-invasive correction of cosmetic nasal irregularities and has been featured on the TODAY Show, the Tyra Banks Show, EXTRA, PBS, E! network and in several publications.
		E. Victor Ross, M.D. Dr. Ross is President of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), and Director of the Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology Unit at Scripps Clinic in San Diego, California. His special interests are laser skin resurfacing, non-ablative skin remodeling, laser treatment of leg veins and acne, and laser hair reduction in dark-skinned patients. He is the author of over 50 articles and seven book chapters.
		Adam Rotunda, M.D. Dr. Rotunda is a highly honored dermatologist trained at the University of California, Los Angeles, David Geffen School of Medicine, St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center, New York, New York, and the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate College of Medicine, Brooklyn, NY. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Pacific Dermatologic Association, California Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and the Los Angeles Metropolitan Dermatologic Society. Dr. Rotunda is also a certified personal fitness trainer and has his Bachelor of Science degree in nutritional sciences from Cornell.
		Deborah S. Sarnoff, M.D., F.A.A.D., F.A.C.P. Dr. Sarnoff, with offices in Manhattan and Greenvale, Long Island, is a pioneer in state of the art cosmetic dermatology, lasers and Mohs surgery for the treatment of skin cancer. She is an associate clinical professor of dermatology at New York University Medical Center; vice president of the Skin Cancer Foundation; and has demonstrated her cosmetic procedures on “The Today Show,” “20/20,” “Good Morning America,” “Dateline” and “The View.” Dr. Sarnoff is co-author of Beauty and the Beam and Instant Beauty: Getting Gorgeous on Your Lunch Break.
		David Sarwer, Ph.D. Dr. Sarwer is Associate Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry and Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Director of Clinical Services at the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders. He is a consultant to the Edwin Fannie Gray Hall Center for Human Appearance at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center where he conducts research on the psychological aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
		Ava Shamban, M.D. Dr. Shamban is a board certified dermatologist and owner of the Laser Institute for Dermatology as well as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UCLA. After graduating magna cum laude from Harvard University, she attended Case Western Reserve Medical School. Dr. Shamban appears frequently on television including Extreme Makeover where she is the featured dermatologist.
		John Shieh, M.D. Dr. Shieh was the co-founder of Modern Concepts Medical Group and RejuvaMed / RejuvaYou medical group. His specialties include non-invasive cosmetic medicine and anti-aging medicine, in addition to board certification in Family Medicine. His focus on excellence and patient care has earned him the distinction of being selected "Best Doctors" by LA Downtown News. Dr. Shieh has also served as a medical advisor to the current TV show "Untold Stories from the ER" on the TLC channel, and has recurrent appearances on that TV series.
		Hema Sundaram, M.D., F.A.A.D. Dr. Sundaram is a Board Certified dermatologist, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the founder and director of her cosmetic surgery practice in suburban Washington, D.C. Her patients visit her from throughout the world. Dr. Sundaram's training includes masters and medical degrees from the University of Cambridge in England and a medical staff fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. She is the skincare advisor for The Health Central Network online, an aesthetics advisor to the Dermatology Education Initiative and appears regularly on television and radio. She is the featured dermatologist on NBC TV's A New Me, and the on-air medical consultant for XM Radio's Broadminded and WBAL's The Shari Elliker Show. Dr. Sundaram's book, Face Value, was honored by the National Press Club. She is quoted in publications including The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, USA Today, Prevention, Good Housekeeping, Allure and Cosmopolitan.
		Mark B. Taylor, M.D. Dr. Taylor is a world-renowned dermatologist and cosmetic laser surgeon who has been in practice for over thirty years. He received his medical degree from the University of Utah, is board-certified in dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery as well as many other professional organizations. Dr. Taylor has developed new techniques for many other laser treatments and cosmetic surgery which he performs on a regular basis in his busy practice in Salt Lake City.
		Mark Tager, M.D. Dr. Tager is currently Chief Marketing Officer for Syneron (NASDAQ: ELOS). He previously served as VP Marketing for Reliant Technologies where he launched the Fraxel® laser. Earlier in his career, he founded a consumer health and medical publishing company which was acquired by Mosby Yearbook. His is co-author (with Dr. Stephen Mulholland) of The Art of Aesthetic Practice: How to Profit on the Cosmetic Boom to be released 5/08. Dr. Tager received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Duke University and trained in Family Practice at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center.
		Michael J. Tomcik, M.D. Dr. Tomcik is a board certified dermatologist who combines over 35 years of medical practice and more than two decades of experience in laser technology to provide his patients with outstanding cosmetic dermatologic care. He received his dermatology training at Columbia University and St. Luke’s Medical Center in New York, NY, and is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Tomcik frequently attends and presents professional seminars to maintain his up-to-date medical technology and skills and is in private practice in San Ramon, Calif.
		Greg Washington Greg Washington is president and CEO of Patients Unlimited Marketing Consultants (PUMC), a 33 year old International Marketing firm that pioneered the art of re-engineering practices to promote cosmetic surgery and services to the consumer. As innovators, PUMC was the first agency to show his clients how to successfully incorporate MediSpa (skin) services into their practices in 1989. Mr. Washingtons firm has aided the leading cosmetic surgeons and specialists in every region of America as well as Canada, Australia, and Tokyo Japan. 		William Philip Werschler, M.D., F.A.A.D., F.A.A.C.S. Dr. Werschler is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine/Dermatology, University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is an internationally recognized expert in Botox and dermal filler injection techniques and has a private practice in medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology.
